Hi, I'm Cedric — Senior Software Engineer

I'm a Senior Software Engineer specializing in full-stack development, with experience building applications across both frontend and backend systems. With five years of experience at NIST and additional experience developing an e-commerce platform for a startup, I bring strong software engineering fundamentals, a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to new technologies and programming languages.

I enjoy taking ownership of projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from exploring an initial idea and making technical decisions to implementation, deployment, and delivery. Whether working independently or collaborating with a team, I value writing quality code, solving complex problems, and building software that is reliable, secure, and designed to last.

I thrive both independently and as part of a team. I enjoy exchanging ideas, collaborating on challenging problems, and helping a team move forward. At the same time, I'm comfortable working autonomously, taking responsibility for technical decisions, and seeing a project through from start to finish.

I also leverage AI throughout the software development lifecycle to explore solutions, accelerate development, and improve productivity. My approach combines the benefits of AI with sound engineering judgment, maintaining a strong focus on code quality, security, governance, and keeping control over the systems I build.

Outside of engineering, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my adorable baby beagle, who makes sure there's never a dull moment at home. Tennis has always been a big part of my life. After competing at a high level, I now play simply for the love of the game. And when a challenging project reaches the finish line, there's nothing quite like celebrating the team's hard work over a well-deserved after-work drink.
