Nestor extracts structure from maintenance work orders. I was the sole engineer on the application: a desktop app and a web client around NIST’s NLP toolkit, so manufacturers can annotate that data.
I worked with data scientists on the NIST NLP projects. The data was sensitive work for NIST and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
What I did
- Led the TypeScript, React, Node.js, Electron, Python, and PouchDB application.
- Shipped a web client alongside the desktop app.
- Used RabbitMQ on the NLP data path, with metrics, tracing, and a design system.
